We had a successful, blissful and fruitful International Youths Day celebration with survival mothers at our Frontline Church Partner; KE0759 A.I.C Kanzinwa Child Development Centre on 12th of August 2021 whose global theme for this year is “Transforming Food Systems: Youth Innovation for Human and Planetary Health”. These mothers’ lies within the youth age bracket, to simply mean they are all under the age of 35 years old. We had a practical group activity food security training cum International Youths Day celebration. We intensively trained and issued vertical farming bags to the 15 survival mothers so that they can replicate the same at their respective homesteads by setting up both viable and manageable kitchen gardens so that each of them can get vegetables for their family consumption. This is an organization that i can attest it’s positive and impactful change as a core contact person that works in a church that they partner with. It reaches needy of the neediest children and youths via an ideal module; Integrated Program Module of sponsorship which is the best module since it benefits both direct beneficiaries, siblings and their respective and immediate parents or caregivers within a wide time frame; as early as 0-22 years of age.
